THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD , that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS ( Jeremiah 23:5-6 (KJV) This morning, the LORD called my attention to this all-important scripture: The LORD our Righteousness. In our lives, we struggle to please God sometimes by our strength. Every look at our weakness, discourages us from holding unto the gift of righteousness the LORD has given unto us in Christ. We continue to assure ourselves that as soon as we get rid of our weakness, we will please the LORD. It is however, written that it is not of Him that willeth nor of Him that runneth, but of the LORD that showeth mercy. As much as we do not take the grace of God for granted and dwell in sin; we need to fight the good fight of fight to stand on t...

STRENGTH AND COURAGE: Fear Not

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest ( Joshua 1:9 (KJV) This morning, as the words of the song: Whom shall I fear (by Chris Tomlin) comes ringing in my heart, I begin to pick the encouraging messages that make up the song. ..whom shall I fear, I know who goes before me, I know who stands behind: the God of angels’ army, He’s always by my side. The one who reigns forever, He’s a Friend of mine…No weapon against me shall stay, YOU HOLD THE WHOLE WORLD IN YOUR HANDS , I’m holding on to Your promises, You are faithful, You are Faithful … etc. These are faith-filled words to nourish our hearts this morning as we enter the day. The Psalmist says that his mercies are new every morning. Holding unto His mercies and faithfulness and facing and overcoming the evils of the day, we shall be victorious and prosperous. The secret to victory is COURAGE and faith....

THE LORD OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH Ref to: Angels Sense and Nonsense

Image
THE LORD OUR STRENGTH AND FORTRESS Ref to: Angels Sense and Nonsense   They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.   As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever ( Psalm 125:1-2 (KJV) Yesterday, while steadying still in the presence of the LORD, I began to perceive a scene I read from Anna Rountree’s The Priestly Bride . On her way to the LORD’s Garden in Heaven, she met two hilarious angels on her way. She was aching in pains of wanting to meet the LORD Jesus Christ, until these two angels showed up with so much roaring laughter as they jokingly sang a song for her. On her account: They were laughing and talking. “Hello,” I said. “Who are you?” “Sense,” bowed the angel in the brown robe. “Nonsense,” bowed the angel in the blond. “What?” I laughed. “God is not into nonsense.” “Oh, yes,” said Nonsense. “ There is more understood b...

ONE LORD, ONE GOD, ONE KING

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: ( Deuteronomy 6:4 ) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is , Hear, O Israel; The LORD our God is one LORD :   And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment ( Mark 12: 29-30 ). And the LORD shall be king over all the Earth : in that day shall there be one LORD, and his Name one ( Zechariah 14:9 The LORD’s first commandment to His people is that He alone is the LORD, and there is none. Therefore, only to Him shall every knee bow, and all tongue confess. Blessed be His Holy Name! His ultimate plan therefore, is to consume all the gods of the earth. Their days are numbered for, as He spoke through His prophets, and His servants: He is terrible to the gods of the earth and will famish them. He will, therefore, cleanse the Earth of all unclean spirits and false prophets and establish Hi...

THE SHAKING OF ALL THINGS

(For yesterdays. devotion). For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind …Isaiah 65:17. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we, receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: ( (Hebrews 12:27-28). For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts ( Haggai 2:6-8 (KJV) The LORD has created His new Heaven and new Earth wherein dwelleth righteousness, and justice. He thus asks us to rejoice in that wh...

FRIENDSHIP WITH THELORD, OUR FATHER

Image
Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? (Genesis 17:17 (KJV) Abraham was a friend of God. He obeyed and trusted the LORD to fulfil His covenant promise to him and his unborn seed. In his old age, it is written that against hope Abraham believed in hope. In his appointed time when every hope to bear a child as a human both he and his wife was gone, the LORD fulfilled His promise and gave him a son at the age of ninety-nine and Sarah, at a very old age of hundred. These are periods of time in life when people have become so old that every hope of child bearing is over. God proved that with Him nothing shall be impossible to those who trust in Him and who are His friends. This morning, I strongly felt His Presence around me as my Friend. It was such a great relief because my prayer life has started fluctuating, because of many things I ...

THE FEAST OF TABERNACLE

Excepts from my book:         Divine Appointments: Feasts, Fasts and Ordinance of Worship  Entering the LORD's circle of life and Blessings The feast of Booths/Tabernacle is the last of the appointed feasts of the LORD, for the year. It is one of the feasts which He commanded Moses on Mount Sinai, on behalf of the House of Israel to be observed in their seasons. The feast begins o n the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar, will last the same number of days as the feast of Passover and Unleavened bread. The LORD's command for this feast is this: Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath .   And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees,...

ENGRAVED IN HIS PALMS

But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.  Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me ( Isaiah 49:14-16 (KJV)  Israel is God's chosen people. God's word to them is His word to both the Jews and the  Gentiles who come to Him through Christ. The people of Judah had been exiled for their sins and idolatries. The LORD had punished them, but His tender eyes of compassion were and are still upon them. He will never forget them. They are His people. He still chose them to accomplish His purpose for mankind, even though they were and are despised and oppressed by nations that took advantage of them. Thus saith the LORD , the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of ru...

Salvation Is Of the Jews

October, 11th. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews (   John 4:22). This early morning, as the words kept ringing in my heart, I decided to turn my attention to the verse. The LORD Jesus met this woman, the reject of society, at the well about to draw water. In the ensuing brief conversation with the woman, He revealed that He is the water of life that would quench her thirst. Jews are specially chosen by the LORD as bearers of His light to the world, to display His glory on the Earth. The LORD entered a marriage covenant with their fathers on the foot of Mount Sinai after delivering them from Egypt, and brought them into His House. They lived under the canopy of His Glory as His people. He was everything to them, for they were His special treasure, His Kingdom of Priests to host His glory on the Earth. Through this holy Nation, He would bring forth a Savior who would bear the sins of the world, and through Him, salvat...

Daily Devotion: Goodly Inheritance

For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge , and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit Ecclesiastes 2:26. This morning, the LORD took me to the book of Isaiah on the word of comfort to His afflicted people. While meditating on that, the above scripture came up in my spirit. It is written that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.  The wise King, Solomon, said that wisdom is the principal thing. It is more precious than gold.  The LORD Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God given to us . Therefore, the LORD also gives us knowledge , for the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom giveth life to them that have it (Ecclesiastes 7:12). As we continue to acquire the knowledge of God through His word, knowing Him, we continue to partake of His life,  for knowing the LORD is eternal life. He, therefore, de...
