THE CREATION OF NEW THINGS

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful (Revelation 21:5). The LORD through the Prophets and in the words of Revelation spoke of having made all things new. We are asked to rejoice for the new things He has created. Old things have passed away. The new things started with the new covenant in Christ through whom He promised to freely forgive our sins and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. He is our Righteousness and justification. Therefore, He has made for us a covenant of peace for us with our God through His Blood. We dwell with the LORD as sons without fear. His angels of peace surround us so that we are not afraid of any terror by night or day. Our hearts shall not fail us for fear for the LORD our God is our confidence and our feet shall never be taken. He has also appointed covenant of peace for us with all the beasts of the field and with man so that all sha...

JACOB WRESTLED, NESTLED AND PREVAILED TO RULE WITH GOD

We read that Jacob wrestled with God all night and prevailed. But when we read it through the lines we see that having wrestled through the night with the LORD and refused to give up, the LORD touched his hip bone and it shrank. At this point, he lost the strength to continue to wrestle. So, he nestled. To nestle means: 1. to settle snugly or comfortably 2: to lie in an inconspicuous or sheltered manner transitive verb1: to settle, shelter, or house in or as if in a nest the children were nestled all snug in their beds The LORD gave me this insight sometime in 1996, that it was when Jacob nestled that he prevailed with God, not when he wrestled. We see this same thing with the LORD Jesus at the Garden of Gethsemane when He pleaded all night for the LORD to let the cup pass by Him. When H...

THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD , that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS ( Jeremiah 23:5-6 (KJV) This morning, the LORD called my attention to this all-important scripture: The LORD our Righteousness. In our lives, we struggle to please God sometimes by our strength. Every look at our weakness, discourages us from holding unto the gift of righteousness the LORD has given unto us in Christ. We continue to assure ourselves that as soon as we get rid of our weakness, we will please the LORD. It is however, written that it is not of Him that willeth nor of Him that runneth, but of the LORD that showeth mercy. As much as we do not take the grace of God for granted and dwell in sin; we need to fight the good fight of fight to stand on t...

STRENGTH AND COURAGE: Fear Not

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest ( Joshua 1:9 (KJV) This morning, as the words of the song: Whom shall I fear (by Chris Tomlin) comes ringing in my heart, I begin to pick the encouraging messages that make up the song. ..whom shall I fear, I know who goes before me, I know who stands behind: the God of angels’ army, He’s always by my side. The one who reigns forever, He’s a Friend of mine…No weapon against me shall stay, YOU HOLD THE WHOLE WORLD IN YOUR HANDS , I’m holding on to Your promises, You are faithful, You are Faithful … etc. These are faith-filled words to nourish our hearts this morning as we enter the day. The Psalmist says that his mercies are new every morning. Holding unto His mercies and faithfulness and facing and overcoming the evils of the day, we shall be victorious and prosperous. The secret to victory is COURAGE and faith....

THE LORD OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH Ref to: Angels Sense and Nonsense

Image
THE LORD OUR STRENGTH AND FORTRESS Ref to: Angels Sense and Nonsense   They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.   As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever ( Psalm 125:1-2 (KJV) Yesterday, while steadying still in the presence of the LORD, I began to perceive a scene I read from Anna Rountree’s The Priestly Bride . On her way to the LORD’s Garden in Heaven, she met two hilarious angels on her way. She was aching in pains of wanting to meet the LORD Jesus Christ, until these two angels showed up with so much roaring laughter as they jokingly sang a song for her. On her account: They were laughing and talking. “Hello,” I said. “Who are you?” “Sense,” bowed the angel in the brown robe. “Nonsense,” bowed the angel in the blond. “What?” I laughed. “God is not into nonsense.” “Oh, yes,” said Nonsense. “ There is more understood b...

ONE LORD, ONE GOD, ONE KING

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: ( Deuteronomy 6:4 ) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is , Hear, O Israel; The LORD our God is one LORD :   And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment ( Mark 12: 29-30 ). And the LORD shall be king over all the Earth : in that day shall there be one LORD, and his Name one ( Zechariah 14:9 The LORD’s first commandment to His people is that He alone is the LORD, and there is none. Therefore, only to Him shall every knee bow, and all tongue confess. Blessed be His Holy Name! His ultimate plan therefore, is to consume all the gods of the earth. Their days are numbered for, as He spoke through His prophets, and His servants: He is terrible to the gods of the earth and will famish them. He will, therefore, cleanse the Earth of all unclean spirits and false prophets and establish Hi...

THE SHAKING OF ALL THINGS

(For yesterdays. devotion). For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind …Isaiah 65:17. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we, receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: ( (Hebrews 12:27-28). For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts ( Haggai 2:6-8 (KJV) The LORD has created His new Heaven and new Earth wherein dwelleth righteousness, and justice. He thus asks us to rejoice in that wh...
